Professor ved Det Juridiske Fakultet Jesper Lau Hansen er udpeget af EU Kommissionen til at indgå i en refleksionsgruppe, der skal rådgive Kommissionen om den fremtidige regulering af selskabsretten i EU. Gruppen tæller i alt 13 eksperter fra hele EU.

Gruppens officielle navn er Reflection group on the future of EU company law.

Dens officielle formål er: Assist the Commission in the preparation of legislation or in policy definition.

Mads T Andenæs og Beate Sjåfjell er begge nylig tilsatt som førsteamanuensis ved Institutt for privatrett ved Det juridiske fakultet i Oslo, med tiltredelse i 2010.

Institutt for privatrett har også fått to nye stipendiater: Tore Fjørtoft skal skrive en Phd-avhandling om økonomiske medlemsrettigheter i samvirkeforetak, mens Marte Kjørven skal skrive om den kontraktsrettslige fastleggelse av forpliktelsens innhold ved salg av finansielle instrumenter gjennom verdipapirforetak.
